Synopsis
In the 1960s, an enigmatic grifter plots his most complex con yet
Tom Ripley is a young, handsome, and charismatic man with quiet ambitions and a persuasive manner. The other part is watching Andrew Scott chillingly embody the darkness of Mr. Ripley as the show dives deeper into the character's twisted psyche than ever before. Ripley is a psychological thriller television series based on the book, The Talented Mr. Ripley by Patricia Highsmith. Ripley is written and directed by Steven Zaillian, a filmmaker known for the miniseries, Searching for Bobby Fischer. The series features cinematography from Academy Award-winning cinematographer Robert Elswit.
Ripley features an all-star cast led by Irish actor Andrew Scott. He has had starring roles in series such as Stardust, plays Dickie Greenleaf. While award-winning actress Dakota Fanning plays the role of Marge Sherwood. The expanded cast includes Eliot Sumner, Maurizio Lombardi, Margherita Buy, and John Malkovich.
