The electrifying origin of the Pink Ladies unfolds in Paramount+ TV show
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is an American musical romantic comedy TV show. It is a prequel to the iconic 1950s-set high school musical, Grease, telling the origin story of the girl gang known as the Pink Ladies.
Annabel Oakes serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. The TV show features musical numbers from prolific singer-songwriter Justin Tranter, with dance choreography by Jamal Sims . The latter made his name as a popular series regular on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies has four lead roles for the founding of the clique – including Marisa Davila as Jane, Cheyenne Isabel Wells as Olivia, Ari Notartomaso as Cynthia and Tricia Fukuhara as Nancy. Throughout the show, the rebellious Pink Ladies are closely monitored by Assistant Principal McGee, played by Jackie Hoffman.
