Devil May Cry loves those tropes and makes sure to let you know with over-the-top action, gory kills, corny one-liners, and a banging soundtrack heavily comprised of late '90s and early 2000s rock and nu metal for nostalgia-hungry millennials. It's the best kind of stupid fun for anime fans!

It does this without ever losing a clear sense of over-the-top fun that's impossible to deny. For fans of anime, Devil May Cry is a slight but entertaining binge-watch.
