Mysterious ‘Parasytes’ start infecting and killing humans around the world. One attacks high school student Shinichi, but his headphones protect him, forcing the Parasyte to take refuge in Shinichi’s right hand as a conscious but unharmful appendage. Shinichi becomes a target of the Parasytes who are disgusted by the dual consciousness of his body. As the Parasytes attempt to take over the political functions of Shinichi’s town to make it suitable for Parasyte life, Shinichi fights to protect his classmates and loved ones.
