Netflix expands on the Sandman Universe by adapting Neil Gaiman's comic book characters in Dead Boy Detectives
Dead Boy Detectives is a supernatural horror detective-comedy TV series developed by Steve Yockey, a famous American screenwriter known for his work on Supernatural and The Flight Attendant. The series follows Charles and Edwin, two teenage detective ghosts based on the DC comic book characters created by Neil Gaiman. The series is tly produced by Berlanti Productions, Jeremy Carver Productions, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros. Television for Netflix. The show is directed by Lee Toland Krieger, Pete Chatmon, Glen Winter, Cheryl Dunye, Andi Armaganian, Amanda Tapping, and Richard Speight.
Dead Boy Detectives stars George Rexstrew in the role of Edwin Payne and Jayden Revri in the role of Charles Rowland. Kassius Nelson plays the role of the psychic side-kick, Crystal Palace. Yuyu Kitamura plays the role of her best friend, Niko; and Jenn Lyon stars as Esther. The rest of the cast includes Briana Cuoco, Ruth Connell, Jen Lyon, Lukas Gage, Michael Beach, Joshua Colley, Lindsey Gort, Caitlin Reilly, Max Jenkins, and David Iacono.
